— Our home

Somewhere to land. Somewhere to grow.

A nurturing residential setting on the outskirts of Huddersfield, designed around the needs of children with Learning Disabilities and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.

Byram House is a five-bedroom Victorian home with large gardens, a sensory room, and quiet spaces where young people can take a breath. Every child has their own bedroom which they help decorate when they move in — because feeling at home starts with somewhere that feels like yours.

Our approach is therapeutic, trauma-informed, and built on long-term relationships. We work closely with schools, CAMHS, social workers, and families to make sure every young person has a plan that's genuinely theirs — one built around their interests, their goals, and the way they best learn and communicate.

Days at Byram are calm, predictable, and full of small wins: cooking together, walking to the local park, weekend trips into the Pennines, and quiet evenings reading or gaming. Routine matters. So does laughter.
